The Danfoss BVTS thermostatic valve offers the ultimate protection for bio-mass or solid fuel boiler systems. Based on more than 75 years of experience, these unique valves protect against overheating and back burning.
Offering safe, reliable and maintenance-free operation, the BVTS valves feature:
• Optimum tightness even after activation
• Easy installation
• Self-acting technology
• Pre-set to open at 95° C
• Superior quality
• Competitive solution
The BVTS has been developed from the AVTA thermostatic valve, which is still commonly used in back burning safety applications. But where the AVTA is adjustable – the BVTS is pre-set to open at a temperature of 95°C – which is mandatory for safety components in the heat dissipation application. The BVTS is intended for boilers under 100 kW, which corresponds to the limit of the valve flow cooling capacity. The BVTS is based on reliable, mature technology at a competitive price – the result of Danfoss’ many years producing tight thermostatic valves.
The Danfoss bio-mass valves prevent water in bio-mass boilers from reaching boiling point.
If the water temperature rises, the valve will open and allow cold water through the heat exchanger system to quickly and efficiently lower the temperature in the boiler.
The Danfoss bio-mass valves prevent back burning by monitoring the temperature in the fuel feed system.
If the temperature in the fuel feed system rises above 95º C, the valve will open and dispense enough water to extinguish any fire.
After activation the valve will close and remain tight, minimising the need for subsequent cleaning and maintenance.
