V250B with assisted lift can operate from zero and up to 10 bar differential pressure.
This 2/2-way valve program is especially to use in closed circuits with low differential pressure, but demanding moderate flow rates. Valve body in dezincification resistant brass for ensuring a long life even in connection with aggressive steam media.
EV250B is compatible with the broad Danfoss coil program with enclosures from IP00 up to IP67. Medium temperatures up to 140 °C (low pressure steam).
An optimum water hammer damped assisted-lift solenoid valve
In general it is the closing speed of the valve that determines the water hammer phenomenon. In reality the water hammer comes just before the valve closes. By controlling the closing speed at this stage the water hammer can be reduced. On the Danfoss valve it is done by having an optimized shape of the moulded diaphragm, a reinforcement giving an internal damping and a special damping cone giving a viscous damping in the very late closing stage.
High opening degree at zero or low differential pressures
On an assisted lift valve, the armature spring also closes the diaphragm. Owing to the increased thickness on the sealing point of the diaphragm of the EV250B valve, only a very low closing force is needed from the spring. This means you get a high lift at zero differential pressures.
Suitable for the innovative clip-on coil system
EV250B is designed for use with the new customer friendly clip-on coil system ensuring faultless mounting, making assembling and dismantling simple and safe. Furthermore you get a hermetic seal against moisture penetration when this is needed. In other words, not only do you get a tighter sealing, but also a safer and more stable fastening.
Especially applicable for aggressive low-pressure steam
Because the EV250B works even with zero differential pressure, main applications are closed heating systems and emptying of tanks. But it’s also recommendable for low-pressure steam up to 140°C, and especially suitable for low-pressure steam produced from technical water (demineralised deionised water), which is very aggressive to common brass. The EV250B valve body is produced in dezincification resistant brass (DZR brass) and so is suitable for aggressive technical water and steam.
The EV250B is available with different water approvals, e.g. the British WRAS approval. It is also available with hum-free coils, with American NPT threads and UL approval, with IP 67 protection, with EEx coils, and with a pending DNV ship approval.

The Danfoss solenoid valve program includes valves suitable for most open and closed systems. The program comes complete with the clip-on coil and IP65 electrical plug and has been carefully designed to simplify product selection. Appendix “02” for 24 V dc, “16”/”82” for 24 V ac and “31” / “84” for 230 V ac
