Fire fighting:
Using high-pressure water mist for fire fighting systems is the most efficient way to extinguish fires. The low quantity of water required means consumption can be reduced to one seventh of the volume used by conventional sprinkler systems.

Reverse osmosis:
Reverse osmosis is the process of turning sea water into drinking water. Typical desalination applications are on yachts and remote areas (eg islands). The Danfoss duplex/super duplex pumps generate the pressure needed to send the incoming salt water through the membranes and as a result drinkable water is separated from the salt water.

Wood processing:
Using high-pressure water mist to lubricate and to cool saw blades in a saw mill prevents resin from sticking to the blades and reduces friction, which means increased productivity and lower energy cost. Sawdust levels are reduced too, resulting in a better working environment. High-pressure water mist is also used for humidity controls in drying kilns.

High-pressure water mist can be used in a variety of humidification applications, such as humidification in open space, in air handling units and for adiabatic cooling.NOx control and turbine efficiency:

Danfoss Pressure Controls And Thermostats
Danfoss pressure controls and thermostats cover a lot af applications within refrigeration and air conditioning. The pressure controls and thermostats are in two categories KP as standard and RT for heavy duty purposes. The controls can be delivered for fluorinated refrigerent as well as ammonia.

Danfoss RT Pressure and Temperature Switches - RT
Danfoss RT pressure switches and thermostats are fitted with a single-pole changeover switch. The position of the contacts depends on the bulb temperature and the set scale value.
The Danfoss RT series includes pressure switches and thermostats for general applications within industrial and marine refrigeration.

Danfoss Oil Differential Pressure Switch - MP 54 , MP 55 , MP 55A
Danfoss MP 54 and MP 55 oil differential pressure controls are used as sefety switches to protect refrigeration compressors against low lubricating oil pressure. If the oil pressure fails the oil differential pressure control stops the compressor after a certain time period.

Danfoss KP Pressure Switch - KP, KP1, KP1A, KP2, KP5, KP5A, KP6W, KP6B, KP7W, KP7S, KP7BS, KP7ABS, KP15, KP15A, KP17W, KP17B, KP17WB
Danfoss KP pressure controls are for use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems to give protection against excessively low suction pressure or excessively high discharge pressure.
KP pressure controls are also used for starting and stopping refrigeration compressors and fans on air-cooled condensers.
KP pressure controls are fitted with a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch. The position of the switch is determined by the pressure control setting and the pressure at the connector.
KP pressure controls are available in IP 30 and IP 44 enclosures.

Trusted and approved
For many compressor manufacturers, the Danfoss RT switch is a trusted component, renowned for its safety and reliability. With a manual reset feature, the RT is recommended for safety shut-offs – often where other controls have failed. The customers were requesting an EEX-approved version of this product for use in situations where explosions are a risk factor – and now the introduction of the RTe is set to meet their demands.

The RTe has CE and ATEX approvals:

Mehrer Kompressoren, a large German manufacturer of piston compressors, was one of the first companies to adopt the RTe. Mehrer were already using Danfoss RT switches, but needed EEX-approved switches for situations where flammable gases and vapours are present in their production processes. Danfoss responded to its customer’s needs by developing the EEX-approved RTe with specifications such as metal housing, which make it ideal for handling explosive gasses safely.

The RTe is available as a temperature switch (thermostat), a pressure switch as well as a differential pressure switch. For further technical specifications please see data sheet below.

Mehrer adopted the EEX-approved RT in favour of their previous switch, supplied by another manufacturer, because it is easier and quicker to install. It requires considerably less time to wire and make adjustments.

Danfoss always try to respond to customer demand: with the RTe, a new and improved product has been added to the portfolio and it has already received positive feedback from customers, among them Mehrer Kompressoren who is satisfied with both the process and the product.
